If you are hosting…

All about styling your dining table

You probably know that already, but I’m gonna say it anyway: I’m Greek. And Greeks take hospitality extremely seriously! That’s why I don’t host. I am not a perfectionist, but when I have to host, I become one, and it feels a bit stressful. But if you are hosting, here are some things I would consider purchasing that have a holiday feeling but you can still use them all year round. The seasonal non-seasonal edit, yes, that’s how we are going to call it.

I limited the color palette because things can feel a bit overwhelming when you have tons of options, and you can never go wrong with dark green, red, black & white, wood, and metals. They are always classic and timeless, and most importantly, all year round. You can go all the way with one color or mix and match them, either way it will look gorgeous.

Candles to set the mood right

…and of course some candle holders

... and a center piece from a local florist or made by you and you are ready!

In the next part, I will be curating tableware, cutlery, and other practical things you might want to add to your dinnerware collection. I said "want" because you really don't need anything to host a perfect Christmas (or not) dinner. The perfect dinner party only needs people who make each other feel special, even if the table is not “Instagrammable”, even if you are eating on the floor with plastic tableware.

Thanks for reading.

Until next time,

xx Kelly.
